In something of a surprise, an AEW star quietly signed a full time deal.
Many times, when a talent inks a new deal, or an extension, there is much fanfare.
We all know the signature social media post as well, indicating that one talent or another is now All Elite.
In this case, there was none of that, for no apparent reason.
And yet, a deal was struck and signed, and Julia Hart is indeed a full time AEW talent now.
What some fans may not realize is that the company allows talents to work without a full time deal.
Call those match to match trials or part time deals, but it is not uncommon for wrestlers in AEW to not be locked in for multiple years right away.
And typically, if and when those talents do get that desired long term agreement, they are given the big announcement.
Usually.
AEW Star Quietly Signed A Full Time Deal
That was not the case with the youngest AEW champion ever.
Julia Hart, who recently won the TBS Championship at a mere 22 years old, switched from a part-time deal to a full time contract in recent months.
Though taken care of quietly, the report indicates that the budding young star had her situation addressed a bit ago, perhaps well before her big title win.
While the company has lost a few bigger names in recent months, some by choice and some not, keeping Hart in the fold should serve them well.
Why Haven’t We Seen Jade Cargill?
Young and talented, winning any sort of gold at such an early stage of her career is a big vote of confidence.
It shows that the company trusts in her abilities.
And, perhaps the company sees her as a foundational building block.
Veterans like Saraya, Toni Storm and Britt Baker are not exactly over the hill, but every division needs young talent as well.
That is where Julia Hart comes into play.
