According to a report, Julia Hart impressed many leading up to WrestleDream, and her performance at the pay-per-view (PPV) blew officials away. Still, looks like she’s taking some time off now. Details, below.
Julia Hart’s Time Off & WrestleDream Performance
While she was unsuccessful in her match against Kris Statlander for the AEW TBS Championship, according to Fightful Select, the House of Black stable member impressed officials during her first-ever PPV this past Sunday. In fact, many thought it was a “career best” for her.
Still, the report also notes that the 21-year-old talent is scheduled to take time off after WrestleDream. No return date was offered.

The silver lining in all this is she doesn’t need time off due to an injury. The reason behind her hiatus is her wedding and honeymoon to fellow All Elite talent, Lee Johnson, who will also be away from action.
Johnson has been seen regularly on Ring of Honor (ROH), involved in a program with former ROH World Champion, Claudio Castagnoli. The two met when they trained at the Nightmare Factory and started dating in 2021.
The two announced they were engaged in October 2022, and thanks to an Instagram post, it was revealed that the couple is set to get married this October 13th. On behalf of everyone here, we offer our best wishes to the two wrestling talents.
It’s unclear if Hart will have zero presence on AEW television during her absence or if vignettes will air until she comes back. She and fellow faction member Brody King are the only two House of Black members currently programming, as of late.
Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black have been off TV for a while. Black is dealing with an injury, while Matthews returned to Australia with his fiancé, Rhea Ripley, WWE Women’s Champion.
