Not seen on television in a few weeks, is Saraya taking unexplained AEW absence?

According to the Wrestling Observer, Saraya is not currently around.

She’s not been seen on television since losing a mixed tag match alongside Chris Jericho.

That match was just a couple weeks ago, but she has reportedly not been backstage since.

Thus far, the Observer report notes that her unexplained AEW absence is just for “unspecified reasons”.

So, is Saraya injured? Given her extensive and significant injury history, it is only reasonable to fear the worst.

But, considering the source…this could simply be Saraya taking a break. After all…AEW is quite a bit better at giving some more frequent breaks to talent.

Assuming her health is not an issue-and thus far, nothing has given us any reason to think it is-it could be an eventful summer for Saraya.

All Elite Wrestling is heading to London for a massive summer show, and one would have to think that the British star would love to work a match in Wembley.

If the big Wembley show wasn’t enough, there’s also the latest Forbidden Door.

Of course, at one point, there was a growing buzz that we could see Saraya clash with her former WWE rival at the event.

But, Mercedes Mone suffered

injury during a recent match, making her availability for Forbidden Door unlikely.

As much as fans might have hoped for and wanted it, that big women’s match is likely going to have to wait.

For now, it seems safe to proceed with the belief that Saraya is just taking a break from television, perhaps working on some other non-AEW projects.

With no reason to think her neck issues have crept back up, it seems like we can look forward to a big opportunity for her at Wembley Stadium.

As for Forbidden Door? That remains to be seen.
