Britt Baker requested and was granted time off from AEW TV. Therefore, many want to know why and how long she will be away.
Britt Baker Granted Time Off From AEW
We learned some unfortunate news about a member of the AEW roster. Adam Cole confirmed on Dynamite how he broke his ankle at Grand Slam in three places and will require.
The broken ankle is considered a freak accident and nobody is at fault.
The timing is not great as Cole returned earlier in the year following about 12 months away due to back-to-back concussions, which left his career in question. He did return and started forming a friendship with MJF.
Injury Has Altered AEW Plans
They won and still have the Ring of Honor (ROH) Tag Team Championships.With Cole out for at least a few months, if not longer, it remains to be seen how long MJF can defend the belts himself.
We will know more tonight about the status of those titles as they are being defended at WrestleDream. Cole’s injury certainly caused AEW to change upcoming angles as he was heavily featured towards the top of the billing.
Sean Sapp on Fightful’s paywall noted how Britt Baker, the real-life girlfriend of Cole, will also be away from TV for at least a few weeks. Basically, she was granted the time to help Cole following surgery.
She will drive him around, cook food and take care of any errands to allow Cole time to rest. Not everybody would do that, but Britt Baker and Cole have dealt with so much during his concussion scares.
It is great to hear Britt Baker will be able to help Cole, who has been dealing with major issues the past two years. Together, they seem like a great couple that truly cares for the other.
So, should Britt Baker return to AEW soon or is the roster fine to move forward without her presence?
