It’s approaching two years since we last saw him in the ring, so when will we see Big E in WWE again?
To be honest, given his charisma and ability on the mic, I had been somewhat surprised that WWE didn’t already have him come back.
Understanding that he has undergone a lot of rehab and recovery efforts, I know some had hoped for perhaps a guest commentary spot.
But, the former champion has been off television and focused on his recovery.
His goal remains to return to a WWE ring…but when?
When Will We See Big E In WWE Again?
The former Money In The Bank winner recently spoke to TMZ, as shared by Wrestle Ops.
During the conversation, the 3rd member of New Day provided a status update.
In terms of his physical status, he mentioned that everything is back together, as it should be.
However, he followed that up with some less than encouraging words. Or, he’s playing things very coy.
Specifically he mentioned that he had no timeline for his return, and that he was not rushing things.
Reason being, as he put it, he did not start wrestling to end up in a wheelchair.
So while we want to see him return…and he wants to make a return…he wants to make the best decision when the time is right.
After all, his time in the ring will be a blip compared to his time outside the ring when wrestling is over. I don’t blame him for wanting to be able to enjoy a normal life.
Could he have said what he said, how he said it, to throw us off? Perhaps.
After all…if we managed to get a Big E return in the Royal Rumble? That pop could rival or exceed the one that Edge got.
