It’s been a hot minute since AEW fans have seen Britt Baker on television. This begs the question, what is her status in the company in light of her absence? WNZ has the answer.
Britt Baker’s AEW Status – Update
Ms. Baker hasn’t been seen on AEW much as of late. In fact, in late November, she posted a tweet hinting she wasn’t happy about her lack of promo time on TV.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it seems that Britt is injured. AEW’s President, Tony Khan also slipped out a comment about this during the Worlds End press conference.
He listed Baker, along with other stars, who were out of action due to illness/injury. AEW superstars mentioned along with Britt included Adam Cole, Jamie Hayter, Pac, and Kenny Omega.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp also later noted that while injured, Britt has been around during AEW television. Most recently, she was backstage at Dynamite’s December 27th episode.
It’s important to note that she wasn’t set to appear in front of the cameras. Rather, she was there simply “visiting”.
Her injury and reason for her absence were not disclosed. AEW’s All Access reality TV show featured her and highlighted her back injury at the time.

Britt Baker’s History With AEW
Baker was the first female star to ink a contract with AEW. She signed a deal with the company in early January 2019 and debuted its first-ever pay-per-view (PPV), Double or Nothing, in May of that year.
During her tenure with the company, she’s had an AEW Women’s title run and was the 2022 Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner. As of this writing, it’s unclear as to when Britt will return to AEW storylines, but here’s hoping fans see much more of her in 2024.
