After his non-compete has run it's course, could free agent Matt Riddle find a new home outside of WWE soon?

We are at a point on the calendar where a few intriguing names will be free to sign anywhere, and now we are wondering, Could Matt Riddle find a new home soon?

At purely face value, the answer is yes. That logic also applies to Nick Nemeth, Mustafa Ali and a few other now former Superstars.

Those names, along with other lower profile talents, were cut loose shortly after the sale of WWE to Endeavor was finalized.

And now that the three month non-compete time period is nearly up, we can expect to see some familiar faces popping up in not so familiar places soon.

One place might just be TNA, or rather IMPACT. Depends what you want to call it, I am still trying to keep track of the changes myself.

And while for now it remains purely speculation…

Could Matt Riddle Find A New Home Soon?

The Wrestling Observer (and others) noted that TNA has a big (for them) show approaching.

On the posters, they are telling fans “you won’t believe who is showing up”.

Right away, with the show happening in early 2024, every released WWE talent from that round of cuts will be fair game.

Meltzer speculates that while TNA would surely want the former Dolph Ziggler…AEW probably will too.

Riddle however, may be a little too controversial for most, but can probably land in TNA and just get to work.

I could see a Riddle move to TNA being productive and given his talent, he could be a face of the company.

If he can keep out of trouble, of course.

In fairness, some fans had even cooler ideas than that.

TNA has recently entered into a partnership with Endeavor.

The same Endeavor that owns WWE.

There are plenty of TNA alumns in WWE…and every so often, we’ve seen the company allow for some special cameos and one-off appearances.

Could this be a case where we are not seeing a major free agent arrive in TNA. Rather, someone on loan from WWE?

I mean, having AJ Styles back on TNA would be insane, but he’s clearly under WWE contract.

Still, with the Royal Rumble approaching, fans were speculating that maybe we’d see a trade. TNA alum appears at Hard To Kill, while a TNA wrestler is allowed into the Rumble.

There have been crazier ideas.

But for me, I would not be shocked if the arrival is Riddle.
