WWE Releases Dana Brooke, Dabba-Kato, Mace, Mansoor And More

WWE releases continued Thursday evening after a bunch of main roster superstars were shown the door. This time, the NXT roster took a major hit.

WWE releases continued Thursday evening after a bunch of main roster superstars were shown the door. This time, the NXT roster took a major hit.

WWE Releases Dana Brooke, Dabba-Kato, Mace, Mansoor And More

Earlier in the month, the merger between WWE and UFC was finalized. Not long after everything was made official, releases starting coming in.

First, over 100 office workers were let go. Then, Thursday started with members of the main roster being released. Some of the bigger names gone include Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Mustafa Ali and Elias. 

Hours after the rosters for RAW and SmackDown were depleted, NXT was up. As of now, and the number could go up, the following wrestlers are part of the latest WWE releases.

Shanky, Dana Brooke, Quincy Elliot, Dabbo-Kato, Yulisa Leon, Mace, Mansoor, Yuliya Leon and Bryson Montana.

Some of the names might not look familiar to the casual fan, but others are known. Brooke, Dabbo-Kato, Mace and Mansoor are the wrestlers fans have seen frequently. 

Dana Brooke had been with WWE for a decade and held the 24/7 Championship 15 times. She was recently sent to NXT, where a heel turn seemed set.

She always seemed liked by fans and talent. Yet, she was never presented as a singles star, despite a great effort and attitude.

Dabbo-Kato, who was first seen on RAW Underground, joined the main roster and was a heel with Apollo Crews. After vanishing from TV, he returned to NXT earlier in the year.

Mace and Mansoor worked as team know as the Maximum Male Models. Mace was part of the failed stable, Retribution. Mansoor is from Saudi Arabia and was signed when the WWE started to run regular shows from the country.
