There’s been a ton of buzz around Randy Orton and a potential WWE return. Now WNZ has a possible date of when he plans to come back, plus how long he wants to wrestle before he retires.
Randy Orton May Return For 2023 Survivor Series
According to a Wrestling Observer Newsletter report, The Viper may return during the 2023 Survivor Series. The WWE premium live event (PLE) takes place on Saturday, November 25th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
The report also notes that the “Legend Killer” is far from retirement. In fact, he has plans to wrestle until he’s 50 years of age, despite doctors advising him that he should never compete again.
Does AEW Have Some Creative Problems?
The future WWE Hall of Famer has been out of action since May 2022. At that point in time, he was paired up with Matt Riddle, wrestling under the RK-Bro gimmick that was wildly popular.
In fact, the two held the RAW Tag Team Championships twice. The Viper’s last match was a tag team bout with Riddle against The Usos, where the titles were dropped.
The report offered no word on The Legend Killer’s creative when he returns. As Riddle is gone, it is very unlikely he’ll resume older storylines.
The good news is, the WWE star should be back in action soon. There was a time when fans thought they wouldn’t see the day.
After all, his father, “Cowboy” Bob Orton talked about his son’s injury last year noting that his doctors advised him not to return to action. Still, Bob also stated that he was confident in his son’s rehab process to compete again.
Reports are one thing, and reality is another. Here’s hoping he has an explosive return at Survivor Series, as fans have missed him.
