While some might not like this one being asked, here it goes: Does AEW have some creative problems?

For the record, this is not going on about questioning how matches were booked, or should one star have gone over another.

As much as AEW battles WWE, surely the junior promotion would love to emulate WWE in certain ways.

But…with what we are about to talk about? This way is not it.

According to the Wrestling Observer, talents are finding out later and later about plans for their matches.

Compounding the day-of issues? It’s being reported that there is seemingly a lack of long-term direction.

Because, for all the brilliant things McMahon did over his career…it was his most recent creative calls that drove Superstars crazy.

McMahon become all too well known for last minute re-writes of shows, or even changes during shows. Clearly, talent in 2023 don’t miss him.

No matter what, there are stories about AEW wrestlers being too in the dark about what is or is not planned for them, from the show that night or where their character is going six months from now.

Some former AEW talents might be quick to say yes to these reports, but it is also entirely possible that this is one or two grumpy talents venting, and mostly things are fine.

Because, if Tony Khan can be any version of booker Vince…he should never choose the form of Vince who would change shows on the fly, leaving his talent upset and angry.
