There has been a lot of buzz already, but is a big return lined up for Survivor Series?
And to be clear…this time around, this is not about CM Punk.
Because, well, you see, WWE sources have already come out and said they have no current interest in bringing back the mercurial talent back.
That could always change, and if wrestling has taught us anything, it’s to never say never.
But, again…this is not about CM Punk.
There is another talent, a Superstar that we have not seen in over a year…and things may be finally lining up to fix all that.
Randy Orton has not been seen since the middle of 2022. The Viper has been out of action with an injury and the subsequent surgery and rehab.
Recently, fans spotted him outside the Performance Center, but since then…nothing.
Big Return Lined Up For Survivor Series?
However, according to Fightful…WWE and Orton could have things lined up for a Survivor Series return.
Considering how things have gone for Orton in the last year, that would be nothing short of amazing.
Following word of his injury, the reports that we got were frankly not good.
At one point, there was a story that indicated a doctor may have told Orton that he could never wrestle again.
Based on what we are hearing now, that seems to be quite untrue.
The future WWE Hall of Famer has no doubt been working his tail off to get back in the ring.
Now, fans may see him return in some form or fashion in Chicago next month.
Of course, he will be returning to a WWE that doesn’t quite look the same as when he left.
The company is now under new ownership, for starters.
His former tag partner, whom we all expected him to turn on? Released.
One thing that is the same would be Roman Reigns’ title reign continues.
