Matt Riddle was released from the WWE last Friday, one day after a slew of other talents were let go. WNZ now has more details about his firing, which have surfaced.

The Original Bro recently accused an officer at the JFK Airport of sexually assaulting him. Reports revealed that he was intoxicated during the incident.

After two weeks away from Monday Night RAW, the WWE star hopped on social media and announced he was no longer with the company. According to a report from Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Bill Apter, sources have told him about some of the reasons Riddle was likely let go, and it wasn’t “just” the JFK incident.
He states that Dana White, UFC president, has noted the WWE talent was a “problem” kid in MMA back in the day. He goes on to say that now that the UFC and WWE have merged, both agreed to cut him, to avoid any future problems that could pop up.
Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T recently talked about the Original Bro’s release, noting he became a liability to the company. Booka states that there’s only so much the WWE can tolerate.
He goes on to say that he was not surprised or shocked it happened. Booker notes that if “you put” yourself in a position for something to occur, it’ll happen nine out of ten times.
The talent signed with the WWE in the summer of 2018, debuting in NXT by October 31st of that year. By May 2020, he hit the company’s main roster, first being drafted to SmackDown.
Over the years, Riddle held the NXT Tag Titles (with Pete Dunne), the U.S. title, and the RAW Tag Titles with Randy Orton, twice. It’ll be interesting to see what he does next.
