LA Knight challenging Roman Reigns seems to be something WWE is currently looking at, as the champion needs some new competition upon his return.
LA Knight Challenging Roman Reigns Being Discussed
When looking around WWE, they seem to be running out of challengers for Roman Reigns. He has been champion for over three years now and only suffered one pinball loss during that span, so there are fewer options than normal.
It seems like WWE might have an opponent for Reigns, who he has never faced. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted how they are looking at LA Knight challenging Roman Reigns.
The report continued how the hope is LA Knight returns on tonight’s SmackDown. He was scheduled last week, but was pulled last minute following a positive result for COVID.
As for when the two might meet, the Saudi Arabia card on November 4 has been discussed.
Also, we could see LA Knight work Fastlane. Originally, it seemed like WWE was going with LA Knight & John Cena against Solo Sikoa before the positive test.
For now, that match is listed as a handicap bout. Although, WWE has plenty of time before October 7 to add in LA Knight.
There remains no official word if LA Knight has signed a new contract with WWE. Last we heard, a new contract had not been signed due to money demands.
As for Reigns, he has been absent from WWE TV as of late. He is not scheduled for Fastlane, but will be in Saudi Arabia in November.
Reigns working the Royal Rumble in January also seems likely considering how important that show is. Maybe, he takes on AJ Styles in early 2024 as WWE began dropping hints about a future program.
So, is LA Knight challenging Roman Reigns something the fans want to see or are there better options out there?
