John Cena challenging Solo Sikoa could very well happen if WWE gets what they want. And, if Hollywood continues the strike, that would actually help matters.
John Cena Challenging Solo Sikoa Being Discussed
With Hollywood going on strike, we are seeing some familiar names appear on WWE TV. Just this week, The Rock was on SmackDown as was John Cena.
Those are two of the biggest names in pro wrestling and even Hollywood. They have a past, with each defeating the other at WrestleMania.
It remains to be seen if WWE can book the trilogy. Considering their busy schedules, it still feels like a stretch.
The Rock Makes Huge Return On SmackDown
BWE, who has broken a bunch of backstage stories, noted how WWE already has an opponent in mind for Cena. They want to book John Cena challenging Solo Sikoa.
As for now, WWE wants the match for the Royal Rumble in January. Although, the report noted how WrestleMania 40 was also in play.
The Royal Rumble would be cool as Cena as actually defeated Umage at the event about 17 years ago. Yes, it was that long ago.
Since Cena being back somewhat on WWE TV regularly, it seems like the company is still looking for a program. We have seen him interact with LA Knight, Jimmy Uso and Grayson Waller, so those could be options.
Seeing how Cena already hit the AA on Jimmy, it might not be too difficult to make the program work. He even has history with Roman Reigns, who defeated Cena about two years ago at SummerSlam.
Solo has the potential to be a main event wrestler and just working with Cena would be huge. Cena has not won a singles match in years and that could greatly benefit Solo.
