A lot of rumblings are out there about this one, so let’s get into an update on LA Knight’s contract status.

One of 2023’s hottest Superstars, he’s been on the precipice of greatness for some time.

And yet, there seems to be someone or something holding him back.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, he’s come a long way…

If anything, it sure seems like WWE is taking a slow burn approach with Knight, similar to what appears to be in use for Cody Rhodes.

Meaning, while many were stunned that Rhodes lost at WrestleMania, he’s more over now than he was in April.

Earlier in the year, many were convinced that Knight was going to be crowned the new Mr. Money In The Bank..

He was not.

Then he seemed poised to swipe the United States Championship from Austin Theory.

Nope, that did not happen either.

And all the while…he gets hotter and hotter.

So there was another rumor still, which leads us to this…

Update On LA Knight’s Contract Status

Supposedly, this mega-push for LA Knight was on pause, pending a new contract.

Funny thing is…per the reporting, Knight’s current deal does not run out until some time in 2025.

Meaning…it’s silly to think a current push in 2023 would depend on extending a contract that already runs into 2025.

According to Fightful, we have a few updates.

First, we can all see that Knight is being pushed…his push is not tied to any extension.

Second, management still holds him in high regard, meaning we are seeing the push happen, and will continue to do so.

Third, we do have to keep in mind that the sale of WWE is just wrapping up, and there are several big names who are on expiring deals in 2023 or early 2024, and they are in a holding pattern until things close.

Meaning, Knight’s might be important, but there are a few others who expire sooner that need attention.
