A recent report outlines how the WWE views LA Knight and possible plans for a major push coming soon. More on this story, below.

WWE Planning A Push For Knight

According to a new PWInsider report, the WWE is quite high on the superstar. In fact, they are currently negotiating a long-term contract.

While it hasn’t been finalized yet, the report reveals both the talent and company are close to inking an agreement. Some sources state that the deal could be as long as five years.

The report also notes that while the wrestler is enjoying some success with the WWE, multiple sources say that officials are waiting for a certain point to “pull the trigger” on a massive push. It’s being said that this long-term agreement is what the company wants to “lock in” before moving forward with that idea.

Recently, WrestleVotes on the social media platform X posted that WWE placed the superstar as the top SmackDown babyface on their internal “talent board”, after the Payback pay-per-view (PPV). PWInsider’s report states that WWE’s plan now is for the talent to be pushed as one of the top Blue brand faces, if not the #1.

It’s interesting to note that he faced off against The Miz at the Payback event and defeated him. The legendary John Cena acted as the special guest referee and gave him a post-bout nod on stage.

An endorsement from Cena is nothing to snuff at and was likely called up from the top. Yet another sign that this wrestler may be given bigger and better opportunities, moving forward.

He re-signed with the WWE in 2021, after a short stint back in 2013. He would initially debut in NXT, but it didn’t take him long before hitting the main roster in early 2022, starting off as Maxi Dupri, working as a manager for Mace and Mansoor, but by the fall of that year, he reverted back to his old persona and became a bonafide in-ring talent again.
