There’s been major speculation that JD McDonagh would be joining the Judgment Day faction after he entered the main roster. However, the buzz on this has died down over the past few months. Still, thanks to some recent appearances on RAW, it seems the rumor mill is churning again.
JD McDonagh, Newest Judgment Day Member?
Once the talented was called up to the main roster from NXT in May, rumors began to swirl that he was joining the dominant faction. Sadly, after wrestling Dolph Ziggler in late May, he disappeared from RAW and was seen mostly on Main Event.
As such, the speculation died down when mid-July hit. Reports revealed that the plans for the former NXTer and Judgment Day were on hold.
During the SummerSlam Battle Royal, he resurfaced. Still, this week’s Monday Night RAW had fans buzzing about him entering the faction in a big way.
JD’s Ready, Willing, And Able To Join Judgment
He showed up during a backstage promo between Damian Priest and Finn Balor. The two were disputing the fact that Priest’s Money in the Bank (MITB) briefcase is the underlying problem to the faction’s current issues.
He seemingly aligned with Balor on this. In addition, he helped the group out by attacking Sami Zayn backstage, later that night.
The way things are going between Finn and Damian, there may not be enough room in the faction for the both of them. There’s a good chance that they may boot out Priest as they once did to Edge.
It looks like McDonagh could be waiting in the wings to enter the stable, in Priest’s absence. He looks like he’s more than eager to join the group and start climbing the ranks of Monday Night RAW.
