Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but WWE has huge hopes for new NXT tag team of Bronco Nema and Lucien Price.
OK, maybe huge hopes isn’t quite completely accurate…but it may not be far off, either.
One thing we’ve seen a lot out of more recent Performance Center classes? Amateur athletic prowess.
The company is less concerned about signing wrestlers, as they are about signing freakish athletes who can learn.
Some freakish athletes looked loaded with hope, but went bust.
Honestly, in many sports, you see that. Everyone wants to identify “the next big thing”.
For New NXT Tag Team, WWE Has Huge Hopes
According to the Wrestling Observer, officials within WWE are quite high on both Bronco Nema and Lucien Price.
Both newly minted NXT Superstars (they made their in-ring debuts on July 18th) have a college football background.
Clearly, they both have “the look”, as they are massive specimens.
Whether Vince McMahon is in charge or not, pro wrestling will always have a soft spot for massive, fearsome looking bodies.
Both of these men check those boxes.
And, per the report, the company sees them both as having something special.
Sure, they have the size and are athletically talented, but they’ve also grown and developed into their in-ring characters.
That all said, they literally just had their debut television match. Sure, the duo did get a win, but it looked like it was their first match.
Not a knock on either of them, just pointing out that they’ve taken their first step on what they and WWE hope will be a long and successful career.
