Lots of talent come and go within AEW, and one new name just arrived…so what’s next for Kota Ibushi?

Wrestling fans are no strangers to Ibushi’s talent and body of work.

Internationally, he’s worked plenty with Kenny Omega, which was a major factor toward having him work with The Elite.

The Japanese star made his AEW debut at the recently concluded third iteration of Blood And Guts.

He was brought in to team with Omega and The Elite, against the Blackpool Combat Club and their own Japanese partners.

Would such an appearance end up being a one-off kind of thing? After all, we didn’t get any sort of “Ibushi is All Elite” fanfare.

So…

What’s Next For Kota Ibushi?

Perhaps you’ve been paying attention to the upcoming AEW wrestling calendar?

No?

Well, let me let you in on a bit of news.

In just a couple weeks, All Elite Wrestling will head to London and Wembley Stadium.

There, they will throw perhaps the company’s biggest show ever, both in terms of crowd and significance.

As of now, if the numbers are correct, AEW All In has moved the 2nd most tickets for a wrestling show…ever.

Which is crazy, especially when you consider…we know of no matches yet.

According to the Wresting Observer, Ibushi is planning on being a part of the massive Wembley show.

Considering his history with Omega, and some of Kenny’s ongoing issues with other talents, it wouldn’t be too hard to find something for them to do.

After all, with a talent like Ibushi willing and able to climb into your ring, on your massive stadium show? You find a spot for him.

And, with fans again knowing what Ibushi can do, especially teaming with Omega? There’s very good reasons why hopes are up he will be a major part of the major show.
