Welcome to another RAW in a Nutshell, and I am keeping it simple this week : Judgement Day and Buffalo wings.
Confused? Don’t be.
The Judgement Day very nearly run RAW nowadays. Dom Mysterio is the the most hated heel, they have the women’s champ and Senor Money In The Bank.
And, oh yeah…this week, we are in Buffalo, home of those, you know…famous chicken wings.
Judgement Day is a good focal point though.
Last week, it looked as though the foursome might be on the verge of imploding.
And yet, Damian Priest did nearly cash in.
Meaning…as long as they hold the briefcase and whatnot…they are big players on RAW, and this week will be no different.
With that said, it’s time for…
Judgement Day And Buffalo Wings : RAW In A Nutshell
Let’s dig in and enjoy how this one goes!
Best Match of the night:
No question here, the main event six man tag.
Worst match of the night:
Emma and Shayna.
WWE needed Baszler in there with a clear heel, coming in as a clear face. Fans deeply dislike Ronda…give us easy reasons to cheer for Shayna.
Crowd Chants of the Night:
Buffalo did not disappoint, that is all I will say.
Star of the Night
Standout night for Ricochet
I can absolutely see WWE putting the tag titles on Sonya and Chelsea…and I’d love to see it.
Spot of the Night:
Ricochet could be getting himself a big push, or at least a sweet opportunity.
Logan Paul and Ricochet is shaping up for SummerSlam.
And, to do it, he ran back one of the most iconic spots he did in NXT.
Leaping over the rope, landing on the ramp in front of Velveteen Dream. This time, of course, it was Logan Paul.
The sliced bread off the apron was pretty nice too.
Jobber of the Night:
Emma got fed to Shayna Baszler.
Upset of the Night:
Zoey Stark over Becky Lynch has to be that tonight.
Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:
I’d bet he gets his answer next week, but Cody delivered a really strong promo…again…this week.
The path is clear…he wants his rubber match so he can then be next in line.
Botch of the night:
Riddle had a minor issue rolling into his leg submission at the end of the tag match.
He topped that by calling one of Imperium “Giovinci”, which Drew caught in stride.
That was all topped by a weird looking spot between Balor and Rollins, where Finn was apparently going for a sling blade.
Commentary of the night:
I still don’t like KP.
Why can’t either him or Graves say “coup de grace” right? It’s…coup de gra….
LOL Moment of the night:
Excellent observation via social media this week:
One wonders what Sami told Kevin about Dom’s “prison stamina”…
Noteworthy Moment:
Miz seems to have gotten back into bed with Bronson Reed. Surprised that this wasn’t also where DIY reunited, but I’d bet dollars to donuts that this is what sets the reunion in motion.
Throwing this out there…Drew asked Riddle to not fight GUNTHER next week because it will be 1 on 3 with him not at RAW.
Kaiser and Vinci may be banned from ringside…but could we have a Viper in waiting, finally?
Overall lowlights:
Yep, I wanted Johnny Gargano.
Some might not like that we have so many factions in WWE with teased issues.
Judgement Day…Bloodline…Damage CTRL…and now we can add Imperium.
Last week, her promo made her the clear face. This week…I don’t think fans could figure out if Baszler or Rousey was the face.
Overall highlights:
Rollins, KO and Sami are a strong and enjoyable top 3 faces.
Alpha Academy is the fun group I didn’t know I was missing.
Judgement Day is firing on all cylinders…or are they?
Overall good show from upstate NY.
After the final bell:
Strong show, lots to be followed up on with a lot of loose ends…next week should be a good one.
