With WWE and AEW both offering large contracts, it has allowed wrestlers opportunities to secure better deals. Typically, AEW will sign a wrestler for about two years, but there are exceptions.

There are several contracts coming up soon in AEW. There has been a major push by Tony Khan to re-sign Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and “Hangman” Adam Page.

Also, are Rush and Andrade El Idolo to leave AEW shortly as their deals expire?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rush signed a one year deal with AEW in 2022. So, it looks like his contract could be up around September. That is when AEW confirmed he was part of the company, but he could have signed earlier.

While not a regular presence on Dynamite, he has competed a decent amount of times on TV. He has been dealing with visa issues.

As for Andrade El Idolo, he joined AEW in June of 2021. He has publicly stated his contract expires in the near future.

Now, AEW could add time to Andrade El Idolo’s deal because he missed a good chunk of action. He was injured last year at All Out and then sent home after a physical altercation backstage with fellow AEW wrestler Sammy Guevara.

Andrade El Idolo returned to TV at last night’s AEW Collision debut. He defeated Buddy Matthews, using the figure-eight leg lock; which is the finisher of his wife and WWE superstar, Charlotte Flair.

Rush and Andrade El Idolo have teamed together several times for AEW. With such a bloated roster, they were not featured too much. Perhaps, if they stick around, they will get more TV time thanks to the addition of Collision every Saturday.
