Heading into WrestleMania 39, it was clear Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes would close night two. But, many were unsure how night one would conclude.

In the end, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defeated The Usos to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. It was either that match or Charlotte Flair against Rhea Ripley has the main event.

While speaking to Ryan Satin, on FOX’s “Out of Character” podcast, Charlotte Flair was frustrated about being passed over.

“I understand that the best story should close the show,” said Flair. “I understand that, but does the men’s title and whoever wins the men’s Royal Rumble, are they always guaranteed a main event spot? Are they always? 99.9 [percent].”

“I could not be bigger fans, but fighting for Rhea and Charlotte, I just go, ‘that story has been a year in the making’ this story has been three years. Three years in the making.’”

“If we don’t close, am I going to be disappointed? Sure, but is it going to take away from the match and the moment and how we feel?”

“No. I just go, how do we as women know, why is theirs guaranteed and ours isn’t? That’s my question.”

“I’m just talking from the standpoint from the women. If they’re guaranteed, why is the women’s Royal Rumble not?”

“That’s the fact. It’s a question due to facts.”

She continued how she was happy for Owens and Zayn.

Both matches were amazing and either could have closed night one or two of WrestleMania 39.

As for the point about the Men’s Royal Rumble winner in the main event, that number is less than 99%. At one time, the winner would typically close the show, but the dynamic has changed.

Since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39, Charlotte has been on hiatus. There is no word on when she might return.

She is rumored to be preparing for a bodybuilding contest, but she did not confirm that news.
