Damian Priest entered hostile water by taking on Drew McIntyre from Scotland. In the main event of Clash At The Castle, Priest retained his title thanks to CM Punk. McIntyre had the match won before the orignal referee went down. A new referee sprinted to the ring, only to stop the count at two and then reveal himself to be Punk. The slight delay was all Priest needed remain World Heavyweight Champion.

There was a very scare moment during the match, when Priest’s ankle got caught on top rope and he was dangling upside-down. Throughout the rest of the contest, the champion was clearly having trouble moving. At the Clash At The Castle post-show media scrum, he went over his health. “I mean it feels like trash right now,” said Priest. “I didn’t even go to medical yet, so I could do this and talk to you guys, so you’re welcome. Docs will check it out, I ain’t going anywhere. I was able to beat Drew McIntyre on one foot, so I’m ready to go.”

How Did We Get To Clash At The Castle In Scotland After WrestleMania?

Hopefully, he somehow walks away injury free. Back at WrestleMania 40, McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins for 5 minutes. Punk went off after McIntyre following the title win and then Priest successfully cashed-in Money in the Bank. It marks only the second time a cash-in took place at WrestleMania. Oddly enough, the first person to do so was Rollins.

Punk and McIntyre will be feuding for several months. In recent weeks, Punk looks to be in great shape as his in-ring return closes-in. Unless plans need to be changed, Priest against King Of The Ring winner, Gunther, could be set for SummerSlam. Remember, by winning the tournament, Gunther earned a shot at the gold. And, the odds of him leaving the victor have to be high. So, do you think Drew McIntyre will be cleared by doctors after Clash At The Castle?
