Lacey Evans was working for WWE before she was released. She looked back at her time there and does not miss it at all.
Lacey Evans Does Not Miss Working For WWE
Lacey Evans spent seven years with WWE, but does not miss it. She departed the company at the end of the summer in somewhat of a surprising move.
From the beginning, WWE seemed to have interest and she was constantly being featured. A major issue could be how the company kept changing her gimmick and it was tough to tell if she was a face or heel.
While speaking on the Insight podcast, Evans noted how wrestling in WWE was never her passion.
“It was incredible to see my fellow Sports Entertainers that that is their passion, but I just knew,” said Evans. “I went out there and did the best that I could and did my job.”
“But, I always looked forward to coming home. My family traveled with me, everywhere I went for the most part.”
“And that was a struggle, right? Because when I got signed with WWE I was a mom and I was a wife.”
“It was an incredible opportunity, but it was a lot for whenever you compare what your passion is and WWE is very, very difficult. You’re on the road, well over 300 days a year.”
“They want a lot from you. There was always something in the back of my head going ‘What the f-ck am I doing?’”
Lacey Evans Never Gained Any Real Momentum In WWE
After her second child, Evans returned to WWE TV but she seemed to get lost in the shuffle. Her final months there saw her arguing on social media with WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter.
The heat between the two seemed legit. It is almost like Evans made more news outside of WWE.
Nowadays, she runs Sunny Summers Cafe in South Carolina. It is designed to help those with mental health and addition issues.
So, is Lacey Evans correct that working for WWE is not for everyone?
