We are living in an intersting time in pro wrestling. For the first time in about seven decades, the majority of WWE’s shares do not belong to someone with the last name McMahon. There was  Jess McMahon and Vincent J. McMahon, who ran Capital Wrestling Corporation before some changes. In 1982, Vincent K. McMahon purchased WWE from his father and turned it into the largest pro wrestling company around.

Vince only left WWE after being pressured because of lawsuits involving sexual harassment, assault, human traffic and more. TKO Holdings now run the company, with Nick Khan and Triple H playing major backstage roles. Stephanie McMahon is not officially back and we have not seen Shane McMahon in over a year, although he has been talking to AEW wrestlers such as Mercedes Mone.

Could Vince McMahon And Shane McMahon Battle WWE?

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Vince Russo thinks Vince will purchase AEW from Tony Khan and run it behind the scenes; with Shane being the face. “We saw this with WCW,” said Russo. “It happened before. [Purchasing AEW] could be under the guise of Shane, that’s what I’m saying. Shane is as clean as whistle. Vince could be behind it without anybody knowing it.” Russo likes to talk, so everyone is skeptical of what he says. Although, it is not the craziest idea. Plus, the entire WCW vs WWE angle in 2001 majorly failed.

The biggest hurdle would be Vince, as he is blacklisted from pro wrestling. On the other hand, Shane is welcome and Tony Khan said the same. I doubt we ever see Vince return to TV, but he could be the puppet-master to Shane. We last saw Shane at WrestleMania 39, where he injured his ankle. Vince, Shane and Tony vs Triple H, Stephanie and Nick Khan would be something to see; even, if it is a long-shot. So, do you think Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon will buy AEW to spite WWE?
