Shane McMahon’s crazy 2022 pay might leave some in disbelief. And, with the passing of his brother, Mark Briscoe is making a drastic change.

Shane McMahon’s Crazy 2022 Pay

Shane McMahon is not a full-time wrestler, but that has not stopped him from getting inside the ring. In fact, Shane is known for huge spots whenever he gets a chance to wrestle.

Last year, Shane only made one appearance inside WWE’s squared circle. He took part in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

For those that do not recall, Shane entered at number five and lasted about five minutes. The winner of the match, Brock Lesnar, eliminated the son of Vince McMahon.

Also, the match was slammed by critics. Overall the match was not great and right after, Vince sent his son home.

Word from the back is Shane kept pitching ideas that were not liked. Basically, he tried everything to get himself in the match and that did not go over well.

Now, for the even crazier part. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics revealed Shane McMahon’s crazy 2022 pay was a whopping $827,559.

Yes, Shane made close to a million dollars for five minutes of work and he barely did anything. Honestly, wrestlers should be upset as pretty much nobody made anywhere close to such a number for one bout.

Well, Brock Lesnar might be an exception to that rule. And, Goldberg could also be in the mix as well.

The figure was disclosed in a proxy statement since he is a family member of Vince.

As noted, Shane disappeared after that match for over a year. Although, he did return earlier in the month at WrestleMania 39. He was booked in an impromptu match against The Miz.

Unfortunately for Shane, he tore his quad about a minute in. He landed a few punches and then the injury occurred during a leapfrog making, Shane McMahon’s crazy 2022 pay that much more absurd if this year is the same.

He has since undergone surgery.

The WrestleMania moment was saved by none other than Snoop Dogg. He was in the ring and knew something was wrong.

Snoop punched The Miz twice and then delivered his version of The People’s Elbow, which The Rock made famous. Snoop was given major props for thinking on his feet and adapting to salvage the segment.

Plus, Snoop now can add WrestleMania win to his long list of accolades.

We have to ask, is Shane McMahon’s crazy 2022 pay a bit ridiculous?

The Briscoe Brothers are considered staples of Ring of Honor (ROH). Sadly, Jay Briscoe passed away earlier in the year during a car accident.

His sudden passing left the entire pro wrestling shocked. Tributes poured in from everywhere and AEW held a show in his memory.

Going forward, his brother and tag team parter, Mark Briscoe, is making a huge change. He will no longer compete in tag team matches.

AEW and ROH owner Tony Khan went over the decision during a media call.

“Mark was very clear that he didn’t want to go back and do a tag match or be in tag matches,” said Khan. “He would do singles, trios or multi-mans, but not do tag matches.”

“That was something that made a lot of sense. And obviously, I want to do what makes Mark most comfortable.”

At the time of Jay’s sudden passing, The Briscoe Brothers had just regained the ROH tag team titles. Mark vacated the gold and The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) won them at Supercard of Honor.

They captured the titles in a Reach For The Sky Ladder Match. The naming of the bout was to honor Jay.

On the same card, Mark was unable to capture the ROH Television Championship from Samoa Joe. Mark is now part of the AEW roster, but will also be competing at ROH show.
