Given her status, this seems weird to ask, but is Becky Lynch’s WWE Future In Doubt Due To Lack Of Contract Talks?
It seems crazy to even wonder about her WWE future, considering that Becky Lynch is in a world title match in just over a week. She takes on Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40. Of course, WWE creative minds dictate who is going to win (sorry if you somehow did not know that yet) so it isn’t as if she could win and walk out. It just seems absurd to think that The Man could be in one of the biggest women’s matches in 2024…and then may be gone in June.
So what’s up?
Lynch recently gave an interview with the Getting Over podcast, as covered by eWrestlingNews. In the interview, her current contract situation came up.
Her existing deal expires in June, and as for what’s going on? Not much. Per the challenger herself, no one has said anything to her about it.
She didn’t seem completely ticked off by that, but it may not make someone happy, either. Then again, both she and her husband (Seth Rollins) have been with the company for a while. Both have contracts expiring around the same time. I am by no means suggesting the two would be a package deal. That said, in the last couple years, they’ve both seen friends have contracts get addressed closer to expiration for a variety of reasons.
I have to think that TKO brass view her (and Rollins) as priority signings. Perhaps once the craziness of the first TKO WrestleMania is over, we will be able to discuss new long-term deals for two new WWE champions.
