Pro wrestling has plenty of controversial figures. Often, it involves personal beliefs but then there is someone like the Velveteen Dream (real name Patrick Clark).

The former Tough Enough contest found his way to NXT, where he was given the gimmick of the overnsentric wrestler. Overall, the fans loved the gimmick, but not the wrestler’s personal choices.

In March 2020, Patrick Clark was accused of inappropriate contact with a minor on social media. Also, there were reports of grooming younger wrestlers.

Clark denied all the claims.

WWE Investigated and found nothing. Still, fans were relentless and WWE eventually departed with Velveteen Dream.

During that time, he was arrested twice within six days on Florida. Those charges were possession of drug paraphernalia and assaulting a gym employee.

Well, he is back after posting videos last week apologizing for his past.

At Dynasty in New York, using his real name, Patrick Clark, made an unannounced appearance. He interrupted the first match and issued an open challenge.

Alec Odin accepted and they met in the main event. Clark won and proceeded to greet fans around the ring, indicating he was the face.

His return inside a wrestling ring is a complete shock. Towards the end of his WWE stint in NXT, the fans totally turned on him.

That was a complete opposite to his early days in WWE. Fans loved the gimmick and many figured he could be WWE’s next big star.

Hopefully, he has taken care of any demons in his past. Still, if what he did to children is true, then he should never be welcomed back.
