After so much talk, a rumor has been shot-down when it pertains to a possibly huge encounter between The Rock and Roman Reigns.

The Rock Vs. Roman Reigns Rumor Shot-Down

WWE promised a huge appearance for RAW a few weeks back and they did not disappoint. Many guessed correctly that The Rock would be there live.

He cut one of his classic promos, where he had the crowd eating out of his hands. He even smacked Jinder Mahal around a little bit.

At the end of promo, he wanted to know if he should sit at the head of table. Clearly, he was taking a direct shot at his own family, Roman Reigns.

The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is something WWE wanted to put together for awhile. They tried for WrestleMania 39, but there were too many obstacles.

The biggest hurdle will be The Rock finding time in his packed Hollywood schedule. Also, getting approval will be tough as Hollywood does not want him injured; thus, delaying production.

WWE has not confirmed if the two will wrestle at WrestleMania 40. It seems like both sides are still trying to see if they piece the match together.

Although, we know the two will not wrestle at the Elimination Chamber on February 24. WWE will make history from Australia’s Optus Stadium, as they looks to pack in over 70,000 fans.

If The Rock is looking for one more match before officially retiring, look no further. Since turning heel, outside of tag team pinfall loss, nobody has stopped Reigns.

Cody Rhodes and CM Punk have been discussed as potential opponents to Reigns at WrestleMania 40. All three are ranked rather high on betting sites to win the Royal Rumble for a guaranteed title shot.
