Cody Rhodes Sees MJF Joining WWE

There were lots of questions when AEW was first introduced. The company continues to grow, while learning along the way.

In the beginning, The Elite, Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho were the most known names. Since then, AEW has begun to develop other wrestlers.

Rhodes left AEW after opting to not re-sign. Instead, he returned to WWE and quickly was featured towards the top.

While Cody is back in WWE, MJF remains part of AEW. In fact, he is one-half the ROH Tag Team Champions and AEW World Champion for over a year.

While speaking with Peter Rosenburg, Rhodes felt MJF would eventually sign with WWE.

“I think one day you will see MJF in WWE,” said Rhodes. “One thing I’m really proud of him for is, for those who don’t know, MJF was one of my recruits.”

“Probably the one I’m the most excited about just because [of] his potential, his personality and his overall professionalism is beaming. One thing I’m proud of him doing is, if you notice he’s put on a lot of muscle and he’s put it on safely over the last year and a half.”

“And when he does make that jump, and I don’t know when that is, but if he comes to WWE. he’ll have to stand across from guys like Drew McIntyre.”

“You have to stand across from guys like Omos. Or, gosh, Brock Lesnar.”

For the most part, Rhodes is naming some of the top names in WWE. Well, maybe not Omos; but, he continues to improve.

MJF’s AEW deal was to end next year. While not confirmed, many think he re-signed.

At Worlds End on December 30, MJF will look to beat Samoa Joe again. MJF is in lots of pain, therefore we might get a new champion before the year concludes.
