Xavier Woods Pulled From WWE Events
Injuries are a part of the wrestling business and very few talents go unscathed in this regard. Unfortunately, it appears that Xavier Woods has landed on the shelf, due to an injury.
As per PWInsider, The New Day member is off the road. According to the report, Woods is “banged up” and needs time to heal.
It’s unclear what kind of injury he’s recovering from. A return timeline was not provided.
In addition, it’s been noted that Woods was in Birmingham, Alabama, recently. This area is infamous for talent who arrive, in case they require surgery.
WWE Talent Off During The Holidays
The company is giving their superstars some well-deserved off for Christmas. Monday Night RAW’s last television episode before the holidays aired last night and Friday Night SmackDown will be a taped show.
Next week’s RAW will be a “best of” episode. SmackDown will resume live shows as of Friday, December 29th.
The WWE stars and crew will return to the road on Tuesday, December 26th. With that said, it looks like Xavier Woods will not join them.
The last time fans saw the star in action was Monday, November 27th on RAW. He participated in a #1 Contender’s Tag Team Turmoil bout, for the titles.
Xavier joined the WWE in 2010 and The New Day was formed in 2014. During his time with the company, he’s achieved some tremendous success with his faction mates, with 11 WWE Tag Title runs.
He and Kofi Kingston also held the NXT titles, and he was King of the Ring in 2021. On behalf of everyone here, we wish Woods a speedy recovery.
