Dominik Mysterio is still very new to the pro wrestling business, but he is being called MVP of the WWE this year.

For the longest time, WWE was looking for a replacement when Rey Mysterio finally retires. Lots of talent has been featured, but nobody came close to the WWE Hall of Famer.
Then, Dominik Mysterio showed interest in the game. He had his first match at SummerSlam 2020 opposite Seth Rollins.
He did not win, although in a high-profile match there was tons of potential shown. We saw the father and son team for a bit, with the biggest moment coming after Dominik turned heel.
Since joining the Judgment Day, Dom has been used a ton on RAW, SmackDown and NXT. According to wrestling legend Shawn Michaels, Dominik is the MVP of 2023.
Shawn Michaels believes Dominik Mysterio is having a tremendous year in WWE.
“Such a young age,” said Michaels with Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat. “But, Dom has, to me, Dominik Mysterio, MVP of the WWE this year.”
“Every time he comes here, I look at him as the hardest-working man in the show business. He has just been an ironman for us.”
“He has done just everything we have asked of him. He’s done it professionally, he’s done it admirably, done it to the best of his ability.”
At the moment, Dominik is the NXT North American Champion. It is his second reign with the NXT gold after a quick loss to Trick Williams.
As for the future, it continues to look amazing for the younger Mysterio. With Rhea Ripley by his side, his stock should continue to rise.
Therefore, the combination of Ripley and Dominik should produce more great TV into next year.
