A CM Punk return at Survivor Series left disbelief. Some of the WWE roster are unhappy, like Seth Rollins who would needed to be restrained.
CM Punk Return Upsets WWE Roster, Seth Rollins Restrained
For almost years 10 years, fans have been speculating when CM Punk would return to WWE. There were plenty of opportunities, but nothing ever materialized.
Fans are torn about his return, with almost everyone being left in shock. As for the WWE locker room, Fightful Select said the feeling was not mutual.
“Main event talent being upset,” said Sapp. “There are numerous talent on the roster in general upset, just as there are some excited, curious and about every emotion.”
“Talent were pulled aside before the WarGames match and told that CM Punk would be returning at the conclusion of the show. At least one talent claimed legitimately to be upset by the return of Punk.”
“There was one top talent that told Fightful that they understood the surprise aspect of the situation. But, felt like Triple H could lose some trust among many people that he worked to build it with.”
It was a risky move on Triple H’s part and we will see how this plays-out. Remember, Punk did never have anything nice to say about Triple H following his departure.
CM Punk Return Saw Seth Rollins Flip-Out
Seth Rollins needed to be restrained after the match by Michael Cole, Corey Graves and others. He was flipping off Punk and also had some choice words he was yelling.
No telling if Rollin’s reaction was part of the angle or legit. Last year, Rollins called Punk “cancer” and hoped he would not return to WWE.
No matter what, Rollins vs Punk is the right match to make at this point.
So, did a CM Punk return cause more problems in WWE and Triple H will regret this decision, or was it best for businesses?
