Drew McIntyre stormed out of WarGames after its ending. And, signs point to him being angry with CM Punk returning at WWE Survivor Series.
Angry Drew McIntyre Leaves After CM Punk Survivor Series Return
The world is buzzing about what happened less than 12 hours ago. Survivor Series looked ready to conclude as the copyright image appeared at the bottom of the screen.
Then, the entire landscape of pro wrestling changed within a matter of moments. CM Punk’s music hit and he made his way down to the entrance ramp.
The live crowd loved it and many, but not all, at home were thrilled too. Although, there was an odd moment shortly before CM Punk headed out.
PW Insider Elite noted how Drew McIntyre swiftly exited the ring and headed backstage. He shut his door with force, got changed quickly and left the AllState Arena.
There was no mention of Drew during the post-show press conference where Triple H and a few others spoke.
His reaction could be a storyline or he is legit angry at WWE for brining back Punk. Considering the past, there does not seem to be any bad blood between Punk and McIntyre.
McIntyre just turned heel and was part of Team Judgement Day during the Men’s WarGames at Survivor Series. They lost, but that does not seem to be the reason McIntyre walked-out.
As for McIntyre’s future, we know his WWE contract is up in early 2024. Some think he re–signed while others have the opposite opinion.
