CM Punk is back in WWE and with WrestleMania 40 only a few months away, betting odds are out on a possible opponent.
CM Punk Rumored WrestleMania 40 Opponent
The odds of CM Punk returning to WWE were never great. Remember, he left a decade ago on very bad terms.
Then, he joined AEW before being released after some backstage incidents. This led to a shocking conclusion at Survivor Series, where CM Punk returned.
As for the talent, the reaction to his return has been somewhat mixed. Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre did not appear happy at the end of the pay per view, but some of that could be for show.
With WrestleMania 40 on the horizon, WWE will certainly have Punk in a major match. While nothing has been confirmed for the two night event, fans are already putting together the perfect card.
Will CM Punk Take Down Roman Reigns?
For Punk, the latest betting odds show a few options. According to Bookies.com, Rollins is the favorite at +200.Â
The numbers are followed by McIntyre at +450, Roman Reigns at +550 and Kevin Owens at +650. All those matches make sense as WWE wants to capitalize on this huge return.
A big takeaway when Punk left WWE was he never competed in the main event of WrestleMania. It was one of the few goals he never accomplished.
Although, that could change with WrestleMania 40. He could close night one against Rollins for the gold or go for Reigns on night two.
Rollins stated last year that Punk was cancer to the business. Therefore, there is already some history between those two.
As for Reigns, maybe Punk could be the one to end his 1,000 plus day run. Or, Punk could be another casualty of Reigns.
So, who do you think CM Punk will challenge at WrestleMania 40?
