Darby Allin loves to take everything to the extreme and his next death defying goal will require a break from AEW TV.

Darby Allin Likely Taking Break From AEW

When it comes to insane spots, AEW needs to look no further than Darby Allin. Since the beginning, he continues to find ways to top his previous stunt.

At Saturday’s Full Gear, Darby teamed with Sting and Adam Copeland to defeat Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. The faces were the betting favorites entering the bout and understandably so.

Now, Darby might be taking time away from AEW. He has been open about attempting to climb Mount Everest next year.

During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez went over Darby heading to China to train.

“The announcers then stated that Darby was supposed to get on a red-eye after this match to go climb Mount Everest,” said Alvarez. “I was told that he is getting a red-eye, and I don’t know this for sure, but I think he’s flying to China to train.”

“I don’t think he’s actually climbing Mount Everest just yet. But that is what they said on television.”

“One way or another, he’s going to be gone for a while. He is actually training. It’s not a storyline.”

Darby has certainly picked, perhaps, the biggest challenge of his life.

The timing is also intersting when it pertains to Sting. Since Sting joined AEW, he was extensively with Darby.

Sting has confirmed he will retire at the Revolution pay per view, which typically happens in early March. There has been no opponent mentioned, but Darby is probably in the mix.

Maybe, Sting retires in a tag team match and Darby can be his partner. It just seems odd to have Sting’s farewell without Darby being involved or at least present.
