Christian Cage found a new home in AEW and apparently the promotion is very high on the former WWE superstar.

Christian Cage Highly Praised By AEW

In late nNovember, Christian Cage turns 50. But, after seeing him inside the ring, few would believe that number is actually true.

After leaving WWE, Christian joined AEW and was put towards the top in the beginning. He won the Impact Wrestling World Championship from Kenny Omega before falling to win the AEW World Championship from the same foe.

He would start working Jack Perry and Luchasaurus. The duo even won the AEW Tag Team Championship for a bit.

Then, Cage turned heel on Perry and aligned with Luchasaurus. Perry is no longer in the picture, and is actually suspended at the moment.

Therefore, Cage began working exclusively with Luchasaurus. The masked wrestler won the TNT Championship, only for Christian to act like the belt belongs to him.

During Saturday’s Collision, Cage actually won the title in a triple threat that also featured Darby Allin. Although, he might have created more problems by scoring the pinball victory.

During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how AEW  is very on Christian at the moment. Hence, the title switch might not be too surprising.

And, while it seems like Luchasaurus will turn on him, it might not matter as help could be coming. There has been growing remarks about Edge joining AEW now that his WWE contract is fulfilled.

We might be able to get one more run of Christian and Edge together. Honestly, it seemed like this moment would never happen considering the neck injuries both have dealt with.
