As the buzz grows for his possibly imminent return to WWE…are there huge plans for Randy Orton?

Like, the type of plans where we see him win another major championship?

With so much talk about when and where the Viper might return…and we think we know that now…there remains another question.

What will the future WWE Hall of Famer do once he is indeed back?

Before his injury, many expected that Orton would eventually feud with his goofy tag partner.

With him almost back…his goofy tag partner is now an ex-WWE employee.

So, that program isn’t an option.

And some have floated rumors out there that Orton could indeed challenge for a world title and win, which would put him that much closer to Ric Flair’s record.

In spite of the rumblings, Fightful said that thus far, no such talks have taken place relative to a returning Orton.

Naturally, this doesn’t mean much beyond that those discussions haven’t happened.

Could WWE see gold in his future? Maybe.

But a title run for Randy Orton does not currently seem to be in the immediate plans.

As much as getting someone to break that record would be pretty awesome, Orton has long been a Superstar who doesn’t require a title to make him a draw.

That being said, it will be interesting to see if WWE thinking relative to the title record changes.

Cena had been threatening for forever, but has yet to break it and may never do so.

It was thought that WWE might leave it unbroken. Or that it would be broken by Charlotte, since she’s racked up a lot of reigns quickly.

But with father Ric now with AEW…could some within WWE feel a little less strongly about protecting the record?
