It seems a lot of talent have gone down with an injury this year, but here’s an update on NXT Superstar’s recovery.

In this specific case, the talent in question is none other than the captivating Nikita Lyons.

At the time of her injury, there had been a good bit of buzz about Lyons and her prospects for a future call-up.

She was certainly counted on as one of the rebooted NXT’s brightest young female Superstars.

But, as you may remember, in very early 2023, Lyons suffered a torn ACL. As was expected, the injury required surgery and rehab.

At the long end of the time table, we wouldn’t see Nikita Lyons again until after January’s Royal Rumble.

Not that the NXT Superstar would appear in it, but just for a point of reference.

Of course, if we pegged it at a more traditional time? Then we are entering that period where she could make a return (somewhere between now and November).

While her return does not appear imminent…it may be getting closer.

According to Lyons herself, she has been cleared to resume in-ring training.

With any performer, knee injuries are hard to predict. While those timelines exist for a reason, the demands of any specific sport can alter their rehab.

That does not even account for the mental hurdles.

But, for someone like Nikita, getting back into the ring after hurting her knee in the ring will be interesting.

If she can respond well to the return to in-ring training, it stands to reason that we might see her on television again very soon.
