WWE completed its merger with the UFC, now under the TKO Holdings umbrella this past Tuesday. While no star has yet to be released, a new report reveals that a popular star may no longer be under contract.

WWE Superstar No Longer With “Professional Contract”

According to BWE, a social media handle on the X platform, Elias no longer has a “professional contract” with the company. The four-time 24/7 Champion had been a part of the promotion since 2014.

While he was once prominently featured on television, things have slowed down tremendously for Elias in the last several months. Past reports had indicated that his deal was “up in the air” and set to expire in 2022.

However, the 35-year-old did make some sporadic appearances this year. There have been instances where talent has worked without a contract, so this doesn’t necessarily mean fans won’t be seeing the singing sensation or his brother, Ezekiel, moving forward.

The last time fans saw Elias was in May when he was involved in the IC title #1 Contender’s Battle Royal. This bout was ultimately won by Mustafa Ali.

Elias was mostly used as an enhancement talent in recent months, with his last singles win taking place in October of last year. He debuted in NXT nine years ago, heading to the main roster in 2017.

Still, his call-up debut was a very interesting one, as he appeared on stage (briefly) and walked through the crowd during an April 2017 edition of RAW, with a guitar in his hand. This added a nice element of mystery and excitement around his arrival to the main roster.

He’d continue walking around with his guitar in the background for weeks to come. His official first match took place the next month in May.

Wherever Elias ends up, WNZ wishes the best of success. Only time will tell if fans see this talent once again in the squared circle.
