Brock Lesnar is known to do what he wants and that is exactly what occurred after his SummerSlam loss to Cody Rhodes.

Brock Lesnar Went Off Script At SummerSlam 2023

SummerSlam is officially over as is the feud between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes. They met in a rubber match early in the card, with Rhodes walking away the victor.

Then, there was a moment not many saw coming. After the bell, Lesnar and Rhodes stared each other down. Lesnar extended his hand and Rhodes accepted.

If the fans were surprised, imagine how those behind the scenes felt. During the press conference after SummerSlam, Triple H confirmed how that spot was not planned.

“I know that Cody said he hasn’t had time yet to digest the Brock Lesnar moment after their match,” said Triple H. “Completely unplanned, completely in the moment, and for me, you know, Brock Lesnar is such a unique athlete.”

“I don’t think he gets the credit for being one of the all-time greats at this, right? You know, unbelievable athlete at the highest of levels, but just talking about sports entertainment, in my opinion, one of the greatest of all time.”

With such a moment, there is no word if Brock Lesnar will return as a face. When dealing with Lesnar, he is known to follow his own path and the money trail as well.

He is advertised for Payback, which takes places in less than a month. It seems like he will be back shortly on WWE TV, and that could take place as early as RAW or SmackDown.

“The Beast” spent most of the year working with Rhodes. Since he is considered a free agent, his next challenge could come from either main roster brand.
