While The Shield did not last too long, they left a major impression. A decade later and all three remain top names in the pro wrestling business.

Jon Moxley is one of the biggest draws in AEW, while Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns do their thing at WWE. For the past three years, Reigns has been the top heel. Rollins has switched between face and heel a few times during that same time period.

Reigns and Rollins also have the top two prizes in WWE. Rollins won the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions and Reigns has held gold for three years come August.

When it comes to wrestling, Rollins has been much more active than Reigns. So, on the Out of Character podcast, Seth Rollins felt resentment about not closing WrestleMania 39.

“Any time you put in the amount of work that I put in last year while somebody else gets the top spot, if you are competitive and you want to be the best, you’re just gonna have resentment,” said Rollins. “It’s just gonna be there. And it’s healthy, I think.”

At WrestleMania 39, Rollins finally scored a pay per view victory by defeating Logan Paul. During night two, Reigns pinned Cody Rhodes in the main event.

“You had one guy, Logan Paul, that the audience simply detested,” said Rollins. “I had just spun into a guy that everyone was really happy to see every week.”

“For me, I took the Logan Paul story and ran with it. I knew we were gonna have an absolute blast because the characters were so diametrically opposed in the audience’s eyes.”
