Simple theme for this RAW In A Nutshell, as we have 2 more before Detroit Rock City.

That is, 2 more RAWs, counting tonight’s fun and festivities.

The red brand is hitting Tampa tonight before they make a bee line for Michigan.

So what’s in store for us now?

Plenty, I am sure.

Logan Paul has said he will be in town, surely to address the brewing drama with Ricochet.

Will the men’s tag team champions get themselves a match on the SummerSlam card?

What’s next for Cody Rhodes, now that he and Brock are confirmed. Stipulation, anyone?

Friday night gives us Bloodline drama, which means Monday is all about the Judgement Day.

Could we get a cash-in? Perhaps an NXT North American Championship defense?

Surely the dominant faction will be around…

And just like that…we have…

2 More Before Detroit Rock City : RAW In A Nutshell

Let’s crack this one open and get into it!

Best Match of the night:

Closing segment, hands down.

Best match, otherwise? Drew McIntyre and Ludwig Kaiser.

Dom and Sami were good too.

Worst match of the night:

I guess on account of it not happening, Liv and Rhea?

But, not really. How it went was solid, and it seems Liv may have a legit injury (again?!).

Crowd Chants of the Night:

There were some, but nothing notable.

Star of the Night

Lots of kudos for lots of talent, but the end of the show was all about Judgement Day.

Only thing I didn’t necessarily love was the members coming through the crowd, that seemed a little not needed, but whatever.

Closing segment made them look strong, and cemented a few things.

Balor looking to avenge the lost title due to injury 7 years ago…and the lingering tension between he and Priest because of that case.

Spot of the Night:

I enjoyed this segment very much.

Sadly, I have a feeling Logan wins in Detroit…but he totally shouldn’t.

Bet you didn’t think we’d see GUNTHER going through a table, did ya?

Jobber of the Night:

I mean, Apollo was not going to beat Damian…but he did look decent in defeat.

Upset of the Night:

No upsets by way of pinfall.

Surely some upset talent with how things worked out…

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

The attack by Rhea on Liv looked brutal.

Sure, it’s all wrestling and planned and all that…but it looked strong and Liv Morgan sold it well.

In a non-strike world, I’d guess that Liv needed time off for her television show…but with the strikes, I don’t think that’s happening?

Otherwise, I’d say she’s getting a week or two off, and we see Raquel step up next week and challenge Rhea for SummerSlam.

Botch of the night:

Nothing…

Commentary of the night:

Graves does an AMAZING impression of Ludwig Kaiser.

That is all.

LOL Moment of the night:

Logan Paul needs to pair up with Chelsea Green, because his post-Ricochet beating comments are just totally what she’d say.

Seriously, attack a guy from behind and then say what happened was unprofessional by Ricochet and all that?

I’m sorry, that was funny.

Noteworthy Moment:

Logan Paul and Ricochet? Confirmed.

Drew and Gunther, likewise.

We already knew about Baszler and Rousey, but Shayna said she was going to fight Ronda in a language only she’d understand.

Seems like maybe we get this? Somehow I feel like we won’t…but we should…

It may be relatively minor…a small detail, if you will. But seeing Riddle run down in jeans and no shoes?

I liked it. Too often I feel like we get run-ins by guys already dressed to wrestle, but who weren’t wrestling on the show.

Seeing Riddle come down in street clothes made me happy.

Overall lowlights:

Nothing bumming me about this show.

Unless Liv is legit injured…some think so, but if so, man that would be really poor luck.

Overall highlights:

Well, much like tribal combat for Reigns and Uso, it seems that Rousey knows (and accepts) THE fight that Shayna Baszler challenged her too.

Also, say what you will about Rousey (as I have, because she’s been terrible versus the hype), but knowing she’s heading for her hard out…she could have easily taken her ball and gone home.

She did not, she is not, so regardless of what I think about her in-ring skills or mic skills (both meh), she’s still getting respect from me for not being spoiled about things.

After the final bell:

Throwing this out there…but what if the stipulation for Brock and Cody isn’t a tried and true old school favorite?

What if Lesnar and Rhodes do the same gimmick match as Rousey and Baszler?

Could be the old NXT fight pit. Maybe the new parent company lends them an Octagon.

After all, if Cody wants to truly embarrass Brock…what better way to do so than by beating the former UFC Champion in the cage?

Judgement Day is rising as the Bloodline crumbles…and yet the briefcase could make them tumble too. You love to see it!
