The brand is getting a lot of love lately, now with a pair of Superstars make surprise return on the June 13 NXT.
NXT has, in recent weeks, been quite the popular destination for some RAW and SmackDown talents.
I am avoiding calling it the main roster now, as Nick Khan is making a point to elevate the brand.
Recent weeks have given us Mustafa Ali and Baron Corbin showing up at the Performance Center.
Bron Breakker called out Seth Rollins, who accepted the challenge and will return to Florida next week.
But this week, a pair of Superstars make a surprise return to the black and gold brand.
Return is a bit of a misnomer here.
It’s a return to WWE television, and an arrival to NXT, for Los Lotharios.
Superstars Make Surprise Return On June 13 NXT
On the June 13 episode, Humberto and Angel decided to see what the black and gold brand was all about.
The duo, last seen a month ago, decided that the former Reggie and Axiom needed to meet the lethal lovers.
There is no indication, as of yet, as to whether they are just making a brief appearance for a short program, or if they might hang around for a while.
The same can be said for Ali and Corbin. Corbin, for his part, just earned the number one contender spot, and a chance to take on Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship.
Humberto Carillo and Angel Garza are an energetic tag team in their own right. Perhaps a stretch of time in Florida will boost their stock and get them primed for an even bigger run on RAW or SmackDown?
Regardless, it appears as though NXT is becoming a place to be for all sorts of reasons.
