Quick Results:
- Rey Mysterio defeats Kofi Kingston. Post-match, Woods and Kingston beat down Rey before the LWO does their best to intervene.
- Nia Jax defeats Bayley, on the Role Model’s first night back on RAW. Post-match, Rhea Ripley went after Nia for what transpired before the show.
- Penta scores another win, defeating Pete Dunne. This was a fun one.
- Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai defeat Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark
- Seth Rollins defeats Drew McIntyre. Post-match, Drew attacks Seth. Sami Zayn makes the save, but as things break down, he drills Rollins with a Helluva Kick.
Best Match:
I have to go with Seth Rollins versus Drew McIntyre. Doubt this one needs a whole lot of explaining. The ending is loaded with Rumble drama too, possibly.
Worst Match:
I think I have no major complaints. Was debating Nia/Bayley, but even that one worked. If I would change anything with that? I might have made Rhea interfere so that Bayley didn’t lose clean.
Noteworthy Moments:
JBL decided to visit RAW tonight, and he reminded you how good he can be on commentary. He was joining Wade Barrett, filling in for Pat McAfee, and Michael Cole.
McAfee bumped a reasonably upset Corey Graves. The announcing star was working the college football championship game tonight.
My two cents here? Some others have said it, so it isn’t my own original idea, but why not a sometimes three man broadcast team? WWE have done it before. It can work. And for those times when Pat cannot be there because of other obligations, guess what? It’s a two man booth and all is fine.
I am not checking social media, but I would have to imagine, unless this really is all part of a plan, Graves is seething.
With the amount of time we are seeing Roxanne Perez on main roster programming, how long until she’s fully called up?

Holy Sh!@ Moments:
Big promo for KO and Sami Zayn. I was expecting KO to say that Sami was too nice to be champ. I don’t know if we would ever get another Sami-KO main event for the title, but I do know their NXT clashes are quite good.
And Triple H booked those…so…maybe?
Shown before the show got started was a pre-show beating by Nia Jax of Rhea Ripley. Ripley returned the favor during Jax’s bout with new member of RAW-Bayley.
The sparring has given us another title match, Ripley versus Jax, for this coming Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Lowlights:
Honestly? Not sure I can find too much. If I wanted to be that guy, maybe it’s that so far, RAW could have exceeded three hours and really hasn’t. Another week and we had it wrapped up well before 11PM EST.
That being said, I actually like this. Just because you CAN give us long, drawn out shows, does not mean you need to every chance you get. Less can indeed be more.
Highlights:
Lots of good action in the ring, and plenty in the back too. Current feuds are moving forward, with both SNME and Royal Rumble in mind. And we also see little things in the back. Liv takes a dig at Finn Balor. Dom gives Chad Gable some help. Kross was looming demonically behind Seth. And so on.
Plus, even with the move to Netflix, always a nice tribute to the late, great Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.
And, rest in peace to Hall of Famer Bob Uecker.
Also…Penta is fun to watch.
After the Final Bell:
Busy RAW, for sure. Seth Rollins versus Drew McIntyre was a worthy main event, with so much else to like on this show. All this, and the show was off the air before 11PM.
Saturday night in San Antonio is going to be stacked, and the Rumble is going to be epic. Or at least, it should be.
