For reasons we will get into, WWE officials are upset with the ending of this Tuesday’s NXT on CW.

NXT has been on the CW Network just a short while, but there have been some growing pains. The worst of it came on the Tuesday, October 22nd edition of the show. At the conclusion of the broadcast, the black and gold brand had a major surprise debut in store for fans. And the CW Network had some unplanned, unexpected and extremely inconvenient network issues that caused the feed to drop for most viewers.
And that has officials upset
The dropped feed meant many did not see the NXT debut of Zaria. The new Superstar has recently been teased with a few vignettes. Now, we no longer need vignettes because Zaria has arrived. Even though many did not see it live, I can assure you that Zaria has arrived, just in time for Halloween Havoc. So, in case you missed it, you can check the WWE clip here.
But how things did-or did not-go down? That has WWE officials upset with the ending of NXT. According to Fightful there were issues with the affiliate feeds and some having a 20 second delay in place. Those that did missed the ending. WWE officials were livid in part because of how planned out the timing of the show had been. While NXT was on the USA Network, WWE had a bit of leeway to have an overrun.

Life on the CW is a lot stricter. WWE knows, and knew, that each week of NXT television has to precisely wrap ahead of the 10pm mark (eastern time). Knowing that, the creative team meticulously planned out Tuesday’s show to be perfectly on time. And then, for reasons entirely out of their control, that well-planned event was missed by a chunk of their viewing audience. WWE is upset with the CW folks now, but hopefully things turn around.
