Inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship: Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan Vs WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax
The most intersting part here, is how both champions are heels. We have seen WWE do face vs face, but rarely with the villains because it makes no sense. How do you cheer for someone if they are both heels? Liv Morgan is more over than Nia Jax, and she is the better wrestler too. If Dominik Mysterio gets involved, which is a good chance if Rhea Ripley is not there, then Morgan adds another title to her revenge tour.
Inaugural WWE Men’s Crown Jewel Championship: World Heavyweight Champion Gunther Vs WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes
Gunther vs Cody Rhodes could headline WrestleMania 41 or any future installment of the mega show. Instead, the Saudi Arabian government used their blood money to have the contest take place at Crown Jewel. Truly, a difficult pick in what should be a great match. I select Gunther because I can see The Rock or someone from The Bloodline costing Cody and setting up his next program.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins Vs “Big” Bronson Reed
It has taken WWE awhile to get here. Bronson Reed was used to remove Seth Rollins from TV on more than once occasion. It is nice to see Reed getting a renewed push after being rehired. Him putting Seth on the shelf only increased his stock. I cannot see Rollins losing because of the slight interaction he had with CM Punk a few weeks back. Those two have history and if is not going to be resolved at WrestleMania 41, look for WWE to book that for Survivor Series. Reed is steppingstone for bigger things.
WWE United States Championship: LA Knight Vs Andrade Vs Carmelo Hayes
For months, Andrade and Carmela having been trading wins. LA Knight inserting himself only caused problems as they tried to end the feud. Instead, we are now seeing a title being decided. WWE is high on Carmelo Hayes and he is yet to receive the same push as Bron Breakker. LA Knight wins by cheating, turning heel in the process.
Randy Orton Vs Kevin Owens
We all know Kevin Owens needs to win. Then, he will challenge Cody Rhodes again for the belt. With word about Owens’ contract possibly being up soon, I do not think he takes the belt. He beats Orton so bad, it removes “The Viper” from TV for a few weeks. Then, a freshly turned heel Orton gets a crack at Cody. As for Triple H, I can see Orton attacking him to solidify the heel turn.
Fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair Vs Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky) Vs Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) Vs Chelsea Green and Piper Niven
It feels like the women in WWE have gone back a decade in a matter of months. Remember, the female superstars were finally getting their due credit and closing shows. This match seems like 2010 when WWE tossed in as many women possible for a 3 minute match. Meta-Four are still in NXT and Damage CTRL has lost tons of stride. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven could make good champions, but WWE just put the gold back on Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) Vs The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and/or Jacob Fatu)
We are still seeing The Bloodline storyline play a major role. It is amazing how it continues years later. This time, the stable has been divided. We have the originals, with Roman Reigns, and new version with Solo Sikoa at the helm. I feel like heels win because we get another family member to join in the fray. Hopefully, WWE begins moving past this by WrestleMania 41 as we are getting close to the ninth inning.
Keep checking back for the latest from WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
