It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen the Monster of all Monsters, and we may have a bit of an injury update for Braun Strowman.

Just a few weeks ago, Braun Strowman and Big Bronson Reed were engaged in one of the fiercer big man feuds WWE has given us in a while. The two capped their feud off with a RAW main event. It was the Monster of all Monsters against the king of the Tsunami in a Last Monster Standing match. Strowman pulled out the win, thanks in part to a massive assist from Seth Rollins. Rollins, of course, has his own score to settle with Reed.

But Strowman’s win came at a cost

Shortly after the match concluded, we learned that Braun Strowman did not make it through the match unscathed. Per multiple reports, the former champion suffered a torn groin in the match and he was immediately off television. It’s been a few weeks and some might already be wondering about an injury update for Braun Strowman.

And we have one, thanks to the monster himself. Strowman posted to Instagram to reveal the injury and how his leg looked following the match. His leg looked quite gruesome. Maybe not quite as bad as Cody Rhodes following his pec, but it was pretty bad. But the other part of the post? Braun is back in the gym working out and being ready to return.

Based on that, might we see Strowman back in a WWE ring sooner than later? That all depends. To the best of my knowledge, no one has revealed the severity of the injury. Strains, for example, are graded from 1 to 3. 2nd and 3rd degree strains will both result in bruising, which we know Braun had. A 2nd degree injury, based on Google, tells me there’s a typical 3 to 6 week recovery. But a 3rd degree could require 4 months-or more-and possibly surgery.

3 to 6 weeks would possibly allow him to show up at Crown Jewel. If Strowman is dealing with the worst case scenario, we may not see him until the Royal Rumble.
