John Cena has worked with practically every high-profile name possible. They either tagged or worked opposite one another. At Money in the Bank, we learned John Cena is preparing his retirement tour. He will work the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 41. He is expected to wrestle at other shows too.

One of his most famous rivals is CM Punk, who spoke at the MITB media scrum. “Cena, I think, to my career means a lot,” said Punk. “I don’t think there’s many people up in that rare air where if you talk about my career, I feel you have to talk about John. And it makes me feel proud that I think if you talk about John’s career, I think you have to talk about me. We’re married in that respect. Proud of him, he gets to go out on his terms, I know that’s important. I’m looking forward to what he does, and I told him that if it’s gonna be one more time, we gotta do it at least one more time.”

CM Punk And John Cena Have Amazing History

Punk joked how in 15 years he will pull Cena from retirement, like so many in the past. Their most famous feud came at the height of Punk’s first run in WWE. Punk was leaving WWE and he defeated Cena in the final match of his contract. Hence, he took the WWE Championship and left. Of course, earlier in the day, Punk did re-sign, but few knew heading into the match. It is a classic match worth rewatching.

Who knows what Cena has planned for his final run. He could pick any opponent and WWE would give their blessing. While there are better options than Cena vs Punk, I want to see it. Maybe, Punk gets his WrestleMania main event moment at the same time Cena bids farewell. So, do want to see CM Punk vs John Cena one more time?
