MVP has been vocal about WWE not bringing The Hurt Business back, and now Booker T tells his colleague to stay quiet about backstage details.

In under two years, The Hurt Business became one of the more popular stables in WWE. In the beginning, it was only MVP and Bobby Lashley. Eventually, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander would join. Together, they held the RAW Tag Team Championship, 24/7 Championship, United States Championship and WWE Championship. Once Lashley left, the group started falling part. After MVP also exited, it was over.

That was almost two years ago and MVP cannot let it go. He keeps pushing for the group to reunite, even blaming Triple H on the booking. On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T did like MVP revealing backstage WWE news. “I’m sure people that need to know are aware about his feelings,” said Booker T. “But, I was always a huge fan of The Hurt Business. I’ve said that here many times how instrumental of a role that MVP played as far as, you know, really really almost being that legitimizer for the Hurt Business such as Sherri Martel was for us back in the day. Hopefully they can work that situation out. I just think stuff like that need to be handled behind closed doors.”

Pro Wrestling Has Changed Because Of The Internet

In 2024, pro wrestling is much different than the early 1990s. Almost everyone has access to the internet and kayfabe is seemingly gone. We understand pro wrestling is scripted, but that does not stop us from watching. Instead, wrestling promotions are starting to adapt to a world where many know the outcomes of matches.

While The Hurt Business was fun to watch and they disbanded too soon, I cannot see them reforming. WWE teased it last year, but nothing materialized. If I was WWE, either put MVP and Lashley back or have the retired wrestler work with Benjamin and Alexander. So, does Booker T make a good point about MVP needing to stop spilling WWE details for all to hear?
